Her parents were both very active in the Adventist Church; this provided a solid foundation for her childhood and upbringing. She attended Modesto Union Academy for her primary schooling. Her parents were firm believers in providing education through travel. Judy shared many stories about road trips to Oregon and Idaho to see much loved cousins and aunts. Judy went to school at Walla Walla College in Washington and Pacific Union College in Napa Valley, California. She spent her life working for Adventist Health in various roles.
In 1990 she married Ronald Rowe, and became part of another family - an instant second parent to three teens. What a brave woman! They resided in Oakdale for the length of the marriage. She was a grandma to four grandsons and one granddaughter, she also had one great grandson. Judith retired from Sonora Adventist Hospital in 1995 and turned her focus to spending time with her husband and family.
Judith was a ferocious reader and an avid lover of history. Her ideal afternoon included a rainy day curled up with a cat on her lap and a book. If there was a day trip, she was tickled to drive up to Murphy’s or head to the coast. Judy was preceded in death by her mother Grace in 2003, and her father Amos in 2019. She is survived by husband Ronald, her brother Richard and three children, Angela, Mark and Esther, as well as her four grandsons; Michael Smith, Justin Davis, Justin Smith, and William Davis, one granddaughter Daniella Davis, and great grandson Zachary Smith.
A graveside service for Judith will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Lakewood Memorial Park, Restland Garden, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, California.
Fond memories, photos and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.LakewoodHughson.com for the Rowe family.
