Larry Allen Goates

Larry went to be with our Lord on January 6, 2012, at the age of 48, while at Stanford Medical Hospital Palo Alto, CA. Larry lost a 4 year battle with Lymphoma/Leukemia. He fought a hard battle and never complained during his journey. At the time of his death he was surrounded by his loving family. Larry was raised in Ceres, CA and graduated from Ceres High School. He is survived by is wife of 24 1/2 years Brenda Goates and their twin daughters Christina and Tiffany. Niece/daughter Jamie. His mother Faye Johnson, father and stepmother Willie and Peggy Goates. Sisters Judy Hackett (Bill) and Marilyn Goates. Brother/Best Friend Alvin Goates, stepbrother Chad Watts (Sandra). Brother by another mother and father Jimmy Loforti (Giggles). Also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, 3 nephews. 3 nieces and 2 great nephews, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Larry worked in drywall for many years and was employed at Kraft Foods when he became ill. He loved fishing and riding his motorcycle with family and friends. He cherished his family and friends and had many gatherings in his home.

Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and services on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., both to be held in the Heritage Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson, CA., followed by graveside prayer.
