

LeeRoy Hollingsworth, age 84, entered into rest on Thursday February 28, 2013. He was born August 26, 1928 in Sterling, Oklahoma. He came to California in 1944 before moving to Oregon for two years in 1947. He joined the Army in 1948 and served six years. Upon his return to Ca. he married his war bride Anna Bauer. They returned to Oregon for a short time to finally come back and settle in the Modesto area in 1955. He spent his career as a plant engineer for several companies. He worked for Merchants refrigeration, Borden's Ice cream, Knudsen's, Tri Valley Growers and completed his career at Patterson Frozen Foods in 1990. He was involved in Westside Eagles Motorcycle club in the 70's holding many positions. He was a member of the Herman Sohns German Club many years where he served as President for 5 yrs. He also served as the Captain of his Neighborhood watch for 5 yrs. LeeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Frances Hollingsworth, and his sister and brother-in-law, Oletha and Gene Bartlow. He is survived by his wife, Anna Hollingsworth of Modesto, children: Anne Lee (Steve) Coffey, and Steve (Cheryl) Hollingsworth all of Modesto, grandchildren: Stephanie Hollingsworth, of San Francisco, Ca., Katie (Matt) Walsh, of Los Angeles, Ca., Steven Coffey, of Modesto, and Travis Coffey, of Seaside, Ca. and his great-grandchild, Lucas Lee Walsh of Los Angeles, Ca. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Pam Bartlow, Marilyn Watson and Mike Bartlow. A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, Ca.
