Loretta lived a life devoted entirely to her family. She found endless joy in caring for others and was the very embodiment of selflessness. She loved spending time with her family, watching sports—especially her beloved Oakland A’s—and playing BINGO with her dear friends. She was also a strong woman of faith, who spent time daily praying for all of her loved ones.
A 1965 graduate of Maui High School, Loretta married the love of her life, Lee Marciel, on May 7, 1966. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They enjoyed fishing, camping, and exploring the outdoors as a family.
In 1983, Loretta and Lee moved their family to California, where Loretta pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her deep compassion and care made her truly exceptional in her role. In 1995, they settled in Modesto, where Loretta lived the remainder of her life surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Lee; her children, Kaleo and Lauri (Brian); her grandchildren, Andrew, Lewis, and Rylee; and her great-granddaughter, Aaliyah. She is also survived by her brother, Herman (Ernie), and many nephews who were like sons to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie and Herman Estrella; her sister, Judy; and other beloved family members and friends.
Loretta’s gentle spirit, unwavering love, and generous heart will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
A memorial service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home and Memorial Park in the Heritage Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave. Hughson, CA on February 13th, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
