Longtime Modesto resident Martha Lou Dovolis passed away in her home surrounded by her dear ones on Tuesday August t20th . Born in Little Rock Arkansas; Martha moved to Modesto at the age of 14. Despite her lifelong love, Little Rock, and the family and friends she left there Martha remained in Modesto for the rest of her life. Martha's career in local real estate began in 1969 and 1970 when she became a Real Estate Broker and continued until her retirement in 2005. A devoted Christian her entire life; Martha was involved in Bibles Studies and many other church actives. Her other passion was bowling. Martha was involved in tournments all across California and into Las Vegas and Reno. One of Martha's favorite accomplishments was bowling a 287 point game at the age of 76. Martha is preceded in death by her eldest son Ronald Farris and is survived by younger son Daniel L Farris, Daughter –in-law Cheryl Farris and granddaughter Charlie Danielle Farris.
Services are set for 10 AM, Friday, August 30, in the Riverside Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson. Burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.
