Mary Ann York

Mary Ann “Albers” was born on December 22, 1940 in the Central Valley. Her parents, William Henry Albers and Alliene Lawrence Albers, welcomed her as this 6th addition to their growing family. As time moved forward and Mary began to grow, she met the love of her life, Robert Earl York. The two married on December 23, 1961. From there, Mary and Robert welcomed two children into the world. Mary stayed busy with her at-home daycare, as well as working as a homemaker for her family.

She always enjoyed being around family, and spending her summers in the mountains. Mary was an avid traveler, and especially enjoyed cruises. She made the best chocolate chip cookies, according to her loved ones, and always made a special cake for her husband each Valentine’s Day; a chocolate heart-shaped cake.

Mary is preceded in death by her siblings: Fern Villalba, Evelyn Schoonover, Joan Moore, Larry Albers, and Cody Bill. She is survived by her husband Robert York, her children Robert York Jr. and Sherri Webb (Lew), her grandchildren Angie Margrave, Mercy Huesca, Shelly Ann Huesca, Hunter York, Lewis Webb, and Logan Webb, and her sister Dorothy Haller.

Mary will be greatly missed by her family, but they know that she is in a better place in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family invites all family and friends to attend the funeral service at 10AM on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Heritage Chapel. After the funeral service will be a graveside service, followed by a reception hosted in the Lakewood Funeral Home’s Riverside Chapel.
