Mollie Sue Allsup

Mollie Sue Allsup, age 87, of Tulare, California passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Riverbank, California - Mollie Sue Silvey House Allsup, 87, of Riverbank, CA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the care of her family. Mollie was born April 18, 1935, in St. Joseph, Missouri and moved with her family to California in 1937. She met her love Don House at Hughson High School and they eloped and were married on November 26, 1951, before he was dispatched in the Korean War. Together they raised four children. After Don passed in 2005, Mollie married Glen Allsup in 2010. They shared nine loving years together.

Mollie worked at the Modesto Elks Lodge and the Hughson Elementary School as a cook. She also volunteered at Yosemite Bible Camp for many summers cooking meals and sharing love for generations of young people. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, and she was devoted to the end. An avid sports fan, Mollie loved watching her 49ers, A's, and Warriors. Mollie is already missed by family and friends, young and old.

Mollie was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Georgia Silvey and her siblings Lawrence Silvey, Joseph Silvey, Lula Silvey Bower, and Melvin Gene Silvey. She lived her last few years widowed, having survived two husbands: Don House and Glen Allsup.

Mollie leaves behind her children and their spouses: Carmen Jacobo (Bob), Geoffrey House, Jennifer Zellet (Christian), Vernon House (Laura), Kim Diaz, and Bob Allsup (Laura). Lovingly known as Grandma Horsey and Granny Smith, she fiercely loved her grandchildren, bonus grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We request Mollie's loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Lakewood Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 27.
