Monte Tom Weldon

Monte Weldon passed away on October 23, 2017 with his children by his side. Born to Leo "Pete" Weldon and Eunice Witten on November 14, 1934 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Monte was an Army veteran, where he served during the Korean War. On Dec. 2, 1953, he married Myril Willis, the love of his life. They were married 41 years. Together they had 4 children. Steven Weldon (Julie), Donald Weldon (Diana), Regina Stanley (David), Linda Wheeler (Rodney). Monte worked for the City of Modesto for many years until his retirement. Later Monte married Maria G. Dominguez. They celebrated 22 years together. He enjoyed time with his family, camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed going to Laughlin and Black Oak casinos. Monte was proceeded in death by is wife Myril Weldon, daughter Linda Wheeler, granddaughter Sheila Fergal Walski, brothers Harvey Weldon, and Eugene "Gene" Weldon. He leaves behind his wife Maria, his 3 children, stepson Carlos Weldon, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grand children, 2 great great grandchildren, his sisters, Esther Rhodes of Oklahoma, Evelyn Inderbitzen of Modesto, Dorthy Thompson of Don Pedro, his brothers Paul Weldon of Empire and Ralph Weldon of Idaho. Funeral will be held at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation Nov1, 4-8pm. Services Nov.2, 10am.
