Ola "Faye" Ricketts

May 16, 1930 - June 30, 2015 Ola "Faye" Ricketts of Modesto, also known as "Nana" to all her grandchildren, went home to be with the Lord on 06/30/15. She was born May 16, 1930 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She married Rayford "Tex" Ricketts 09/29/1950 who preceded her in death in 1985. She and her husband loved Big Band and Swing music and were great dance partners as well as great partners in life. She also loved gardening, breeding pedigree dogs and prize winning show birds. Faye was a Modesto resident for 40 years arriving in the Central Valley with her family during the Great Dust Bowl migration. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed gathering with them at every opportunity. Survivors include three children: Dan (Marilyn) Ricketts of Modesto, Ca, Peggy (John) Nielsen of Modesto, Ca, Tim (Cindy) Ricketts of Modesto, Ca; six grandchildren: Ryan Riddle of Modesto, Ca, Devon Ricketts of Fresno, Ca, Matt (Tracey) Riddle of Holland, Mi, Kelly Nord of McKinleyville, Ca, Nicole Ricketts of Gainsville, Ga, Derek (Chelsea) Ricketts of Yelm, Wa; six great Grandchildren: Lukas Riddle, Madilyn Riddle, Anna Riddle, Gavin Riddle, Logan Ricketts, and Wyatt Ricketts. Viewing will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson Friday 07/10/2015 from 4 pm to 8pm. Graveside service will be Sat 07/11/15 at 9 am at Lakewood. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Saturday, 7/11/15 at 11:30 am at the Herald Church, 2120 Prescott Road, Modesto, Ca., luncheon to follow.
