Dear Family and Friends:
It is with sadness and heartfelt emotion that we announce the passing of our father, Tim Gong. He was 92 years old. Dad died peacefully at his Modesto senior care residence on October 27, 2025 due to pneumonia.
Nine years ago dad had been diagnosed with dementia. We are impressed that he continued to recognize us and welcome our visits (along with vanilla milkshakes). He continued to be a jokester calling us by our childhood nicknames and reminding us that he was the boss.
Dad loved sunning outside in the garden daily. Socially affable and curious, he enjoyed observing all the comings and goings of residents, visitors, staff, and deliveries. He especially loved his “sweetheart,” our mom, Mary, and his large-extended family. We will miss him but, he has left us with a lifetime full of fond and amusing memories.
Funeral Ceremony and Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, November 13 at 10 a.m.
