Van Long Tun, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on October 2, 2018 at home (Modesto, CA) surrounded by his family. He was 74 years old. He was born on November 20, 1944 in Takeo, Cambodia to Long Kuch and Svay Kong. He was a hardworking, compassionate and loving man.
He graduated from Modesto Jr. College in 1990 with an AA degree and in 1994 from California State University, Stanislaus in Sociology. He was married to the love of his, Sakhom Sok for 51 wonderful years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, helping out in the Cambodian community, watching Family Feud, animal documentaries and wrestling (WWE). He loved Cambodian food and his favorite non-Cambodian was garlic chicken gourmet from Round Table Pizza. He is survived by his wife Sakhom Sok, five children and ten grandchildren. Services are scheduled as follow: Saturday, October 20th at Lakewood Memorial Park Riverside Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA 95326 at 12:00 pm and follow by a graveside memorial at 2:30 pm on Tuolumne Park.
