He lived in Patterson all his life where he built a life surrounded by friends and family. Although, Benny did not have biological children he leaves behind his daughter Crystal who he raised all her life, and another life he heavily influenced, his nephew Marcos. Benny touched so many lives and helped so many family members. He truly was an angel to those people close to him. Benny is survived by his sisters Angelita DeLeon, Sylvia Cantu, his brother Jacinto Cantu and his wife Miroslava Cantu. He joins his Mother Beatriz Cantu, Father Guadalupe Cantu and siblings, Arnulfo DeLeon, Isreal DeLeon, Guadalupe Cantu Jr., Ralph Cantu, Roy Cantu, Alejandro Cantu, Gloria Cantu, Joe Cantu, Javier Cantu in Heaven.
Benny enjoyed bowling with his nephew, Oakland A games, Raider games and everything involving Elvis Presley. He played baseball, softball and enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. Benny will be remembered for his contagious laughter, abundant and honest personality. Papa Benny will be greatly missed, loved and always remember by his family and friends.
There will be a viewing for him at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson California on 10/6/20 at 10 a.m. His burial services will be 10/9/20 at Patterson Cemetery, 11 a.m., celebration of life to follow at the Masonic Hall.
