Doris Vilon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Doris Vilon, who peacefully left us on March 4, 2025, at the age of 60.

Born on June 29, 1964, Doris was a woman with an enormous heart, known for her kindness, humor, and unwavering love. She was a devoted mother to Eric (Melanie), Marc, Amanda, April (Adam), Lynne (Marc) and Serge (Cynthia) and a proud and adoring grandmother to Benjamin, Émilia, Emma-Rose, Nathaniel, Noémie, Michaël, Sophie, Avaya, Greyson (Boo-Boo), Maverick, Jasmine and late Angélique. She was a loving sister and aunt to many. Her family meant everything to her, and she dedicated her life to helping others when needed. 

Doris deeply loved life’s simple pleasures, from the joy of playing Bingo, cards, and Yahtzee to her devotion to country music and many coffee dates with friends.  Whether it was a friendly game, a favorite country tune, or a good cup of coffee, she always brought joy and love to those around her. 

Reunited with her beloved late husband François, her mother Shirley, her three brothers Rudy, Danny, and David, and her niece Melissa. They now welcome her with open arms, as she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her, will forever cherish the memories she created and the love she gave as she touched so many lives.

On March 14th, 2025, a celebration of life will be held at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp funeral home 271 Bd. Saint-Joseph, Gatineau (sector Hull) at 11 am. The family will begin receiving condolences at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in her honor.

May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her, and forever remembered for her big heart and warm spirit.
