Born to Dr and Mrs Olutosin Akeredolu on April 13, 1977 in Sacramento Davis, California, Tunde spent his formative years in Nigeria where he attended Estate Baptist Primary School, and Federal Government College Odogbolu (High School). In 1993, he graduated from high school where he was the Landscape and Horticultural Captain (Prefect), and spent a year studying Urban and Regional Planning at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (Nigeria).
In 1995, he moved to the United States and continued with his studies, this time exploring engineering courses at the University of Houston. He graduated with a bachelor’s in Management Information Systems (MIS). He later pursued an MBA from the University of Houston- Clear Lake in 2000. Tunde had the support of family and friends in his early years in Houston. He joined Dominion International Centre (Church) and was mentored by Pastor Toye Ademola.
Mr. Tunde had a blissful career as a software developer and worked with various organisations in Houston and Atlanta. In 2006, Tunde settled with Bradford Airport Logistics where he grew up the ranks and became Chief Technology Officer (CTO) until his death.
Pastor Tunde loved the church. From leading the choir, to ushering, to becoming the personal assistant to the head pastor, Tunde served dutifully as he did in every area of his life. In 2010, Tunde was ordained a Pastor in Dominion International Centre and was given a mandate to open a branch of the church in Spring, Texas. Alongside a few church members, Tunde moved from the Southwest of Houston to the North to birth Dominion International Centre, Spring (DIC Spring). Today, DIC Spring has it’s own campus, a vibrant youth and children’s department, and a very committed voluntary workforce.
In 2007, Tunde married the bone of his bones, Ms Oluwaseun Egbejimi. They are blessed with 2 beautiful children aged 4 and 2, Ivana Tenioluwanimi and Isaac Ayotunde.
Brother Tunde loved everyone he met just as he loved his siblings. His signature smile lit up whenever he was amused, his squinting eyes whenever he tried to comprehend, and his bow whenever he meets an elderly person. His dancing skills were a bit off, swayed the same way with a smile on his face. His life was his testimony, the people that touched his life he celebrated along the way.
There was NEVER an angry word from Pastor Tunde, only encouraging words. A Charismatic leader, peacemaker, he provided a platform for people of diverse background to express their love for God without being judged. He was not a religious man, he was a God-fearing man and he expressed this in every facet of his life.
Tunde is survived by Oluwaseun (wife), Ivana Tenioluwanimi and Isaac Ayotunde (Kids), Toyin, Tolu, and Titi (Siblings) and Dr & Mrs Akeredolu (Parents). We look forward to the day we would meet you again in glory, rest in peace our Tunde Akeredolu, we are glad to have shared memories with you.
