Boyd proudly served in the United States Navy for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Denise Salazar Simpson; sons, Boyd Simpson, III and Boyd J. Simpson; grandsons, Cameron Ray Simpson, Alexander Ulyeses Simpson, Arthur Xavior Simpson, D’Artagnan Treseus Simpson and Boyd Simpson, IV; granddaughters, Brianna Simpson, Leneea Ann Simpson and Lailane Zgann Simpson; great grandchildren, Michael Perez Simpson and Aliyah Ray Simpson along with other relatives and friends.
