Carl Jake Sandberg, 74, of Humble, Texas entered into rest on Sunday, March 28, 2021. He was born on June 19, 1946 in Galveston, Texas to parents Jake & Evelyn Sandberg. On June 17, 1972, Carl married the love of his life, Bonnie, at their alma mater University of Houston.
Carl was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Humble, Texas. During his free time, he loved to go fishing, and was an avid stamp & coin collector. Carl was not only a loving husband, father, and grandfather, but a wonderful swimming coach. He loved to help people. Carl was a strong man who never let polio get the best of him.
Carl is survived by his wife Bonnie; children Irene Woodson (Matt) and Christine Rojas (Joe); grandchildren Zach Woodson, Caleb Rojas, Abigail Rojas, and Allison Rojas; 2 great-grandchildren; brother David Sandberg; and a host of friends and loved ones.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. inside the Chapel of First United Methodist Church Humble, 800 Main Street, Humble Texas 77338. Donations can be made to the church in his memory.
