He was preceded in rest by his parents and his sister Nelda Ray Lamberth (Ted) and Thomas Minter. Eugene is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ann Vandenbos, and son-in-law Jan Vandenbos and grandson John Braeden; his sisters Wanda Weir (Abert), Glenda Watson (Roy), Ruth Minter, and several nephews and one niece.
Eugene proudly served in the United States Air Force (1962 - 1966), before being honorably discharged. Eugene graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1962 and later from Stephen F. Austin State University. Services for Eugene Porter Graves are pending.
