Evelyn Burns

Minnie Evelyn Miller Burns, 93, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born July 4, 1920 in the Oak Grove community of Colorado County near Weimar, Texas. She is preceded by her husband, Robert Burns, parents, John Henry Miller and Anna Baca Miller, sisters, Anna Mae Roberts, Josephine Forcier, and brother Julius Miller.

Evelyn loved the Lord, her family and friends, cooking, sewing, flowers, vegetable gardening, oil painting, traveling and spending time in Weimar, Texas. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Westfield, for many years. Memorials may be made to the church.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Kuhlman of Spring, Texas, and son, Autry Burns and wife Londa of Wimberley, Texas. Also four grandchildren Scott Kuhlman of Conroe, Texas; Nancy Lowe of Wimberly, Linda Reams of Austin and Steve Burns of Austin. Also eight great- grandchildren Kirsten, Ashlyn, Scotty, Jennifer, Rachel, Ryan, Greta and Mischa.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Herbert Graf at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 5, at Brookside Memorial Park, Eastex Freeway and Lauder Road where she will be buried by her husband.
