He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Alicia (Ortiz) Cosme; his sons, Dean Cosme and Rey Cosme, and his daughters, Michelle Cosme-Brown, Amanda Cosme, Faith Cosme, and Sarah Cosme, his sister Lourdes Cosme and brother Samuel Cosme. As well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, son of Florentino Cosme Sr. and Mirta Diaz. As a young man he came to New York City and initiated his life. He had many passions including baseball and bowling and was an avid fan of the Houston Astros. He spent a brief period of his life serving the United States Army. He eventually settled in Houston, Texas.
In his later years he found his calling serving the Lord in ministry. He completed his Diploma in Theology at Texas Spanish Bible College in May 2003 and then became a minister of the United Pentecostal Church in December 2007. He retired his ministry at Bethel Northwest Fellowship in Tomball, Texas where he served as the associate pastor.
