Grady Neal Jr., was born to Grady Neal Sr., and Beulah T. Rossum Neal on February 24th, 1943 in Kilgore, Texas. He departed this life June 23rd, 2025 surrounded by family. Grady was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Orex, Autry Jean and Gloria.
Grady was an outstanding high school and college student. He graduated from CB Dansby High School, and was very active in high school activities. He was an honor roll student a member of the National Honors Society, band, the University Scholastic League, and Future Farmers of America (FFA).
After high school graduation, he attended and graduated from Jarvis Christian University, (formally Jarvis Christian College), with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. While in college he did an internship at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, as a park ranger. He was a popular and active student on the college campus.
Grady worked many years in the Chemical, and Educational industries. He retired from NASA. He assisted in creating the Houston Alumni Chapter of Jarvis Christian University. He worked diligently with the chapter for many years.
Grady was a leader and a very ambitious person. He dedicated his life to helping and mentoring others. He was intelligent, loving, compassionate, and outgoing. He was a devoted family man and christian.
Grady met and married the love of his life Judy Carol, as he affectionately called her. They were inseparable. To this union two amazing and wonderful sons were born, Steven G. Neal and Torrance J. Neal.
Grady was a son, brother, husband, father and a friend. He made a significant contribution to the lives of many.
Grady proudly worked in God's Vineyard throughout his lifetime. Currently he was a member of Deerbrook Church of Christ.
Grady will be dearly missed. He is survived by his devoted wife Judy, two sons Steven (Andrea) and Torrance, four grandsons, Cameron, Jacob, Justin and Christopher, and one great grandchild, Aidan. He also leaves to cherish his memory two brothers Dexter Neal (Cleal) and Johnny Neal, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
The family of Grady Neal Jr., acknowledges, with sincere gratitude and appreciation, all acts of sympathy, kindness and prayer during the time of bereavement of our loved one. We are truly thankful to everyone.
A visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, on July 7, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The Committal Service will take place at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery on July 7, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
