

She was the youngest of four children adopted and born to Ovey Vincent (deceased) and Odell Vincent (deceased) in Port Arthur, Texas on May 3, 1946. She met the love of her life Patrick Anthony O’Rourke while attending high school in 1961 and they married on August 2, 1964 at St. Katherine's Catholic Church in Pear Ridge, Texas. She was a devoted mother and homemaker volunteering her time and craft talents over the years to St. James Catholic Church in Spring and also among numerous weddings, baptisms, and other special occasions. She loved babysitting children and her favorite hobbies included toll painting, heirloom sewing, quilting, and beading. Many of her family and friends have handmade gifts from these talents.
She is survived by her daughter Faleen Hunter of Brenham, Texas; granddaughter, Darian Hunter of Plantersville, Texas; her sister, John Elizabeth Bergeron and her husband Clifford Bergeron of Port Neches, Texas; and many more family and friends. Her husband, Patrick Anthony O’Rourke preceded her in death earlier this year and her son, John Ovey O'Rourke preceded her in death in 1997.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd. Humble, TX 77338 at 2:00 p.m. and a reception will follow at their home at 23338 Briarcreek, Spring, TX 77373 after the memorial service. The family invites all to come for food and fellowship.
