

Lindell Eugene Montgomery Sr., born on October 14, 1935, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 89. A beloved and cherished individual, Lindell was known for his dedication to family, career, and community.
After graduating from St. Louis University in 1957 with a degree in geological engineering, Lindell embarked on a distinguished career with GSI in the geophysical business, where he worked for over 35 years. His work and travels, along with his wife Trinie and their three children, took him to various parts of the world, including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South America, the Soviet Union, India, China, and Central Asia. In 1989, the family relocated from Dallas to Houston, where they settled and spent the last 35 years of Lindell's life.
Lindell is survived by his wife of 61 years, Trinidad Arando Marble Montgomery; his sister Yolanda E. Ingram and her three children and their families; two children, Lindell E. Montgomery Jr. and his wife Shanda P. Montgomery, and Elisabeth D. Montgomery; daughter-in-law Ella Lane Montgomery; and seven grandchildren: Paul Christopher Montgomery, Kirsten Adrianna Montgomery, Mark Lindell Montgomery, Sabrina Grace Montgomery, Celeste Elisabeth Montgomery, Katelin Marie Montgomery, Tristan Lindell Montgomery, and Ashley Lane.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bessie E. Montgomery and Alfred L. Montgomery, son Christopher Lonroth Montgomery and brother-in-law William E. Ingram.
He enjoyed bodybuilding and golf, often working as a golf marshal at Northgate Country Club. Lindell kept in touch with his colleagues and long-time friends in the geophysical industry. He was actively involved in the Catholic community through St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, where he joined the Knights of Columbus and served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lector, and in other capacities with the brother Knights.
Our family loved him and will miss him always.
