

Lorraine G. Dailey (92 yrs. old) of Spring, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday evening (March 11, 2022) at a care facility. She had been in and out of various hospitals and care facilities since January 2022 battling various illnesses including Covid/Pneumonia.
Lorraine was born on January 6, 1930, in Tazewell, Va. to Arkell Henry (Hoot) and Ocie D. (Crick) Gibson. Lorraine grew up with her 3 older sisters, Virginia McKee, Thelma Clark, and Louise Nixon, who all preceded Lorraine in passing.
Lorraine is survived by her son Terry M. Dailey, his wife Penny Y. Dailey and her granddaughter Halle M. Dailey all of Spring Texas. Lorraine is also survived by various nieces and nephews form various parts of the USA.
Lorraine worked as an Executive Secretary after attending business college in Bluefield, W. Va. She worked for the Civil Service for many years, which took her to various locations across the world from Va. all the way to Japan and back. After her stint in the Civil Service, she moved back to Tazewell Va. to take care of her mother and went to work as the Executive Secretary to the President of Jno. McCall Coal Company in Bluefield W. Va. Lorraine then moved with her mother to live in her son’s house in Humble, Texas and went back to work with the FAA located at the Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) until her retirement in 1992. Lorraine resided with her son, Terry and his family, at their house in Spring, Texas until her passing.
Lorraine will be cremated and her remains will be transported back to Bluefield, Va. to be buried beside her mother and father and two of her sisters (Thelma and Louise) at a date and time yet to be determined.
