at 5:05 p.m. in Houston Northwest Medical Center surrounded by her
children and grandson. Lotty fought a courageous fight against cancer and
won the final battle when she stepped into eternity to meet her husband
Jerome, daughter Mary, son Carl, and her grandchildren Jeremy and Mary
Jeanette.
Lotty was born October 15th 1938 to Howard and Laverne (Bailey)
Johnson in Perry Township of Noble county Indiana. On May 9th 1964 she
married Jerome E. Ley Sr. He precedes her in death.
Lotty was a hard working lady. She worked until the day her body
physically couldn't handle it anymore. Lotty was a firm believer in working
hard and being industrious. She even helped her husband, Jerry build
houses when they lived in Indiana.
She had many talents. She was a fabulous cook. Her children and
grandchildren loved when she went to the kitchen. They always knew
something good was about to take place. A talented gardener, many of her
great meals were a result of her garden harvest.
Lotty was a member of The Worship Center where she loved to worship the
Lord set the vibrant praise and worship music. She loved Pastor Rusty and
her church family. When physically able, she loved to help with VBS and
any other program she could. She was instrumental in taking many people
to church with her.
Lotty leaves behind a loving family. Her children, Lana Faulkner, Julie
(Glenn) Foster, Dawn Wedding, Matthew Ley, Jake (Tina) Ley, Emma
(Eric) Hoffman and Dia Ley. She had four step children, Ann, Cheryl, Jeff
Ley and Mark Ley. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty, and Bea. Her
brothers, Kenny, Pete, Delbert, and Harold.
She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Rick Parry and her
brothers, Wesley, and Jack and a sister Loretta.
Funeral Services are as follows: Viewing Friday January 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Funeral Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home.
