Rafael R Gallegos, 84 of Houston TX passed away December 13th 2025in Houston TX. He was born Octocber 24th 1941 to Maria and Guillermo in San Salvador, El Salvador. He married Aida Ortiz on December 28th 1968 in Mexico City.
He was a machinist and worked for Continental/United Airlines and retired after working with the airline for nearly 30 years.
He enjoyed traveling as a family or with his wife to Europe and visit friends and family in Mexico, Central America and South America. He also loved listening to music and would either have headphones or have the speakers blaring with his upbeat music for all to enjoy along with him.
He is survived by his wife Aida, daughter Melissa and her partner Edgar in Houston, sons Greg in Los Angeles and Steve in Austin.
He had 6 grandkids, AJ, Kiara, Joey, Celeste, Itzel and Nico.
A visitation will be held on December 20, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the same location.
A reception will be held afterward from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, also at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.
