Rofe joined the Air Force although he wasn't old enough, he changed his date of birth to enter the Armed Services. He served his country for 21 years. His tours of duty were Turkey, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, and various service bases in the United States. Rofe loved to travel and truly enjoyed his military life. After retiring from the Air Force he worked on Miramar Navel Base for Northrop Aircraft as a Logistics Coordinator managing the Top Gun Fighter Jets Program.
He met the love of his life, Zerline while stationed in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Florence Robins and Rolfie Fobbs. Grandchildren; Isaac Jason Robins, Angela L. Robins (preceded him in death), Samuel Fobbs, Joshua Fobbs, great grand children ; Omari Fobbs, and Saniyah Fobbs, His siblings, Winston Eldridge (preceded him in death), Milton Eldridge, Sisters Verdell Williams, Elton Jones, Marian Williams, and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
