Sue Ellen married Alvin Barker on February 9, 1971, and together they created a life filled with love and devotion. She had a fulfilling career, first as a flight attendant for Texas International Airlines and later as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor at DHL. A graduate of Lamar University, Sue Ellen majored in Home Economics and carried a lifelong passion for cooking, sewing, gardening, and nurturing her family.
Sue Ellen’s interests also extended to bowling and swimming, activities she enjoyed throughout her life. Her caring and giving nature touched many, and she will always be remembered for the joy she brought to her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Erin Barker and husband Boy of Humble, Texas; sons, Eric Barker and wife Michelle of Celina, Texas, Jeromy Barker and wife Elsy of Arlington, Texas, and Chad Barker and wife Vanessa of Wichita Falls, Texas; sisters, Anita Roney and husband Bill of Austin, Texas, and Laura Moyer and husband Allen of Coldspring, Texas; as well as ten beloved grandchildren: Chase, Cody, Katie, Damon, Adrian, Katheryn, Raina, Lexie, Ryleigh, and Makayla.
Sue Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Barker, her parents William and Martha Wagar, and her sister Virginia.
