Ted Baltazar Triño, age 68, of Humble, Texas passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was born in Iloilo City, Philippines on December 7, 1955. Ted Completed his high school education from Central Philippine University. He pursued his Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of the Philippines in Iloilo and took masteral units in Special Education at Philippine Normal University.
He married Rosemarie Lalunio on June 12, 1991. Ted worked as an English as a Second Language teacher in Bataan, Philippines, providing vital life skills to Southeast Asian refugees to help them settle in the United States. Upon moving to the United States himself, Ted also taught students as an educator in the Special Education department in Houston and Humble ISD.
In his spare time, Ted was highly engaged in sports and music. He was handy with a paddle on table tennis, and brandished his racket on lawn tennis. He competed in local tennis tournaments in Bataan. He was a setter, but occasionally delivered kills left and right, challenging his fellow Bataan colleagues in volleyball. Off the court, he enjoyed soccer, bowling, football, and other sports and was an avid fan of the Houston Astros. Ted often searched guitar chords online, so that he can hold his one-man concerts at home at a moment's notice or make an impromptu guest appearance at the local music store, finger-plucking one of his signature favorites, 'Stairway to Heaven '. Ted also sang in the church choir, passionately practicing tenor lines in the car on his way to work. Always bouncing to a rhythm (or his own), he liked to dance to jams either with his knees or pressing the car brakes onbeat- he loved to give a show. Leisurely, Ted enjoyed watching extensive film genres from action to documentaries.
Ted is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; his two daughters, Hannah and Abby; and his two sisters Betty and Jane; and their families. He will be in good company in heaven with his parents and two brothers.
