Terra Elaine Melgoza was born on February 6, 2005 at Memorial Hermann in Houston, TX. She passed away on December 13, 2016 at the age of 11 from injuries sustained from a car accident caused by a head-on collision.
Terra was an extraordinary child who brought tremendous joy and laughter to every person she met throughout her short yet memorable life. She was kind, funny and insightful with the ability to leave a lasting impression around those with her beautiful smile, wit, charm, and love. Attentive to others around her, Terra was always willing to lend a helping hand especially with her younger sister and cousins. She loved to draw, dance, sing, and surround herself with family and dear friends.
Words cannot express how much our special little girl is loved and will be missed by her family, extended families and dear friends. We continue to celebrate her life and are grateful for every special moment her gentle spirit brought us. Terra’s final act of kindness was saving and improving two lives through organ donation: her left kidney was recovered for a 49 year old female who waited 3,335 days for a transplant and her right kidney was recovered for a 59 year old male who waited 2,278 days for a transplant.
She is survived by her loving parents, Antonio and Terri Melgoza; older sister, Tytiana Melgoza; and younger sister Tonie-Alyssa Melgoza.
She is being laid to rest on January 28, 2017 at Cavalry Hill Cemetery in Humble, TX.
