

Tommie D. Stubblefield passed away Friday, April 7, 2017. She was born in Palestine, TX to Tom Stubblefield and Willie B. Swanson on January 23, 1947. She was the sister of three brothers, Willie Ray Swanson, Chester Swanson, and Claude Swanson.
When old enough to do so, she relocated to Houston, TX where she met and later married Tommie J. Reeves. The couple quickly started their family and had five children: Cecelia Allen, Dreka Ard, Sharon Phillips, Linda Reeves, and Tommie Reeves Jr..
While being a loving and devoted mother, she was also a loyal and passionate employee. Tommie spent over 20 years working for Schlumberger Oilfield services.
Tommie was a firm believer in Christ, and at an early age accepted and devoted her life to Him. She joined Greater Jerusalem Baptist Church where she and her children attended on Sunday mornings.
Tommie’s hobbies included preparing hot, home cooked meals for her children, gardening and collecting flowers, dancing, spending time with friends and family, and anything that allowed her to work with her hands.
She is survived by her five children, her two living brothers Chester Swanson and Claude Swanson, sisters in law Elaine Swanson and Denise Swanson, son in law Tyrone Ard, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. They, along with many extended family and friends will celebrate her life and miss her dearly.
