Born and raised in Pittsburgh, he carried his hometown pride with him always, even while living in the Philadelphia area for the last 16 years. He had an unwavering love for the Steelers and the Penguins. He always had an intense pride that he was Italian and would take every opportunity to tell anyone.
He was happiest at the beach where he enjoyed looking at the ocean. He loved watching sports and listening to sports radio. His favorite foods were anything sweet, especially chocolate cake and a good cannoli - along with his endless love of coffee.
Sonny worked his whole life and retired recently after he turned 84.
He will be remembered for his friendly demeanor, big heart, and the deep love he had for his family. He never forgot anyone’s birthdays or anniversaries and made sure he gave everyone a card. His presence always made our family feel brighter, and his legacy of warmth and loyalty will live on in the people who loved him most.
He will be deeply missed.
