Dolores M Kerner

Dolores M. Carroll Kerner died on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Doylestown Hospital. She was 76 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Olive Hunter Carroll. She was a longtime resident Southampton and the Feasterville-Trevose area.

Mrs. Kerner was a retired employee of the Bucks County Prison in Doylestown. She had worked both as a guard and a counselor.

Dolores had been a Communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel parish in Southampton and the Assumption of the BVM parish in Feasterville. She had been a Den Mother for Troupe 153 at the Assumption BVM parish. Dolores was a former member and Past President of the Trevose Height Fire Company Ladies Axillary (now Lower Southampton Fire Company #1).

Dolores was the beloved wife of Henry J. Kerner for 28 years before his death in 1981. She was the devoted mother of John Kerner (Laura) of Oakford, James A. Kerner (Calleen) of Des Moines, IA, Joseph Kerner (Sue) of Vinton, IA, the late Thomas and the late Mary Kerner. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, May 25 and her Funeral Mass will follow at noon, in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 2nd Street Pike and Knowles Avenue, Southampton. The interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken.
