She was a long-time resident of Philadelphia, PA. Edith was born on December 13, 1938 in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, to parents, Alexander and Elizabeth Dale. She completed her education in Northern Ireland before immigrating to America at the age of 18. She worked for Acme Markets in the meat department until the birth of her daughter Elaine in 1965. From that point she was a stay-at-home Mom or Domestic Engineer as she called herself. She also babysat her grandchildren frequently. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed her daily walks, spending time with her family, shopping for bargains and, prior to his death, traveling with her beloved husband Bob.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Elizabeth, her brother William Dale, and her beloved husband and son Robert and Robert Jr.
Edith is survived by her daughter Elaine, son-in-law Alan, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren; Nicole and grandson-in-law Ed, Rachael, Kailey, Sarah, John and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sisters Nan and Louise Dale in Northern Ireland as well as many other extended family members.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10 AM at Lamb Funeral Home 101 Byberry Road Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, followed by a Memorial service, and interment at Forest Hills Cemetery.
