Frank Joseph Guld

Frank J. Guld passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at his residence. He was 89 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Theresa Guld. Frank has been a Trevose resident for over 60 years.

Mr. Guld was a retired supervisor and machinist at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. After his retirement he worked for over 20 years at Somerton Springs Swim Club. He also operated a independent barber shop business.

He was a communicant of the Assumption BVM Parish in Feasterville. Frank was active with the Men of Malvern for over 60 years. He was an avid reader of the Catholic Standard and Times.

Frank was a skilled handyman and collected tools. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, and westerns.

Frank was the beloved husband of Gladys Snellbaker Guld for 65 years. He was the devoted father of Frances Kelly (James) of Greensboro, NC, Mary Hill (Jeffrey) of Saylorsburg, PA, Frank Guld (Sandy) of Trevose, Pamela DiMarino (Ralph J. Jr.) of Bensalem, Greg Guld (JoAnne), Kathleen Davis (William) both of Feasterville, Cheryl Kolsky (David) of Brick, NJ, and Maureen Zeisel (John) of Trevose. Frank was the loving grandfather of Fran's children Colleen, Mark, Michael, Jason, and her grandchild Cassidy; Mary's children Richard, Angela, Sharon, Steve, and her grandchildren Tyler, and Elizabeth; Frank's children Frank, Amanda, Sarah, and his grandchildren Brock, and a baby due in October; Greg's children Chris and Justin; Kathleen's children Danielle, Meghan, Sean, and her grandchildren Ava, Jackson, and a baby due in December; Cheryl's son Bryan; and Maureen's son Eddie. He is also survived by his brother George Guld (Mania).

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:45 to 11 AM on Wednesday, May 25th at the Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road (at Bristol Road), Feasterville, PA 19053. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. His interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.
