A resident of Feasterville-Trevose, PA, Ivy was born on April 5th, 1975, to Lawrence and Sheryl Mininger. She graduated from South Philadelphia High School and was accepted to West Chester University. She went on to establish a career as a Nurses Aid working for Ann’s Choice Senior Living Facility.
Ivy is survived by her two sons Joe and Leland Hayes; brothers Jason and Neil Mininger and her grandpop, Donald Packer Sr. She was preceded in death by her grandmom Renee Packer, her mother Sheryl Mininger and her father Lawrence Mininger.
Ivy enjoyed her residents at the Senior Facility and loved to make them smile and laugh. She was a friend to all who met her, full of laughter and smiles. The role she so often found herself in was one of a caregiver. Whether for work or at home, she was reliable and responsible and accepted that without hesitation.
Ivy loved being out in the sun, at the beach or anywhere warm. She enjoyed taking her nieces shopping any chance she got, watching Golden Girls and scary movies with her sons and going to comedy shows with her friends.
There will be a small service for immediate family members only. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Covenant House.
