Jerwayne Tafie Hunter, age 39, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. Jerwayne was born August 23, 1982 in Philadelphia, the son of Lucretia Hunter and Jackie Young.

"Spook", as he was affectionately known, graduated from The Philadelphia Public School System. He loved to work, held several jobs and had so many different talents. It was his love of music, rapping, cleaning and cooking that always seemed to shine the brightest. Spook was loved and cherished by many, "to know him was to love him". Although Spook was truly a Momma’s Boy, his strong belief in family and loyalty were everything to him. He traveled a lot with his friends and family and he especially loved traveling and rapping with his bol Bruiz and the "sewey hole fam".

He leaves to mourn him, his mother, Lucretia "Pat" Hunter, father, Jackie Young , sisters: Tahisha Hunter, Jasmine Young and Davita Young, brothers, Ju-Juan Young, Godson Hyree, his children: Jerjuan Hunter, Shakir Giddings, Jerwayne Hunter Jr., Tayhier Ebo, Tristian Hunter-Mackey, Aniyah Hunter, Aries Hunter and Nicholas Hunter, his aunts: Mae (deceased), Ikey and Shirley, uncles: Mannie, Junius, Joe Luis (deceased) and a very special uncle, Stacy Hunter, one special niece he called his daughter, Shay, two very special friends, Queenie Ballard and Danielle (Kakes) Bey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing for Jerwayne will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Redeem Apostolic Church, 5001 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144. A celebration of life will follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. An interment will occur Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1:15 PM to 1:35 PM at Greenmount Cemetery, 4301 N. Front Street, Philadelphia, PA.
