John Curry Hamilton died on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was 75 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William James and Margaret Layton Hamilton. John was an Oakford resident for 45 years.
Mr. Hamilton was employed by Skil (Bosch) Tools in Philadelphia for over 40 years before retiring. He was an avid reader and enjoyed coin collecting.
John was the beloved husband of Evelyn Fitton Hamilton for 48 years before her death in 2006. He was the devoted father of John W. Hamilton (Mary) of Bernville, PA, William C. Hamilton, and Ronald L. Hamilton both of Oakford. He was the loving grandfather of Curry, Colby, Chase, and Cassadie Hamilton. He is also survived by his brother James Hamilton of Jenkintown and his sister Margaret Krienitz of Doylestown.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 11th at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of service. His inurnment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn.
