Joseph was born on December 18, 1950 in Philadelphia, to parents, Joseph Villante and Cecilia Mullen. He graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in 1968. After high school Joe served four years in the U.S. Navy Silent Service. Joe served on the U.S.S. Nautilus, the U.S.S. Casimir Pulaski, and the U.S.S. John Marshall. After leaving the service Joe worked in the corrugated paper industry as sales manager until retirement.
Joe was a devoted husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. He was an active member of the V.F.W., American Legion and the Corvette Club of the Delaware Valley.
Joseph P. Villante was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gerard, and his daughters Laura and Patty.
Joseph is survived by his wife Patricia Villante (McInnes), his sons Joseph (Nicole) and Thomas (Leslie) and 8 grandchildren, Gianna, James Wolfe, Joey, Ashley, Melanie, Thomas, Jesse Gosseaux, and Cole; his 2 sisters, Patricia Donald (Steve Kessler) and Kathleen McFadden (Phillip).
A visitaiton is scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Southampton PA., followed by Mass at 11 am. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Norristown, PA.
