Margaret Elizabeth Kehm

Margaret Elizabeth Kehm died on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Manatawany Manor in Pottstown, PA. She was 98 years of age. Born Pittsburgh, PA; she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine Farrell Walsh.

Mrs. Kehm was raised in Ireland and came back to the states when she was 17. She moved to Philadelphia in the 1940’s and was employed by the Strawbridge family before she was married. She married George Kehm in 1944 and they lived in Philadelphia until 1977. Margaret and George then moved to the Villas, NJ where she resided until last year. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and family in the Delaware Bay, her vegetable garden, reading, crocheting and knitting.

Margaret was the beloved wife of George Kehm for 49 years, before his death in 1994. She was the devoted mother of James Kehm of Quakertown, PA, Catherine (John) Baranich of Skippack, PA, George (Lucille) Kehm of Manahawkin, NJ and Margaret (Francis) Novak of Jersey Shore, PA. She is also survived by her brother Patrick Walsh of Ireland, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass 10 AM at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until the time of Mass.
