Richard Joseph Wardle Sr.

Richard J. Wardle, Sr. died on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 64 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Warren R. and Irma Butterworth Wardle. Richard had lived in Langhorne since 2013. He had previously been a longtime resident of Feasterville.

Mr. Wardle was an employee of St. Mary Medical Center. He had previously been a longtime employee of Quaker Moving and Storage in Philadelphia. He had also worked for Graebel Van Lines and Fisher Hughes. Rich was an Air Force veteran.

Rich was the beloved husband of Mary Birney Wardle for 12 years. He was the devoted father of Richard J. Wardle, Jr. of Philadelphia, Lori L. Wardle (Butch) of Feasterville and step-father of Coleen Ponden (Joseph), and Katie Caulfield (Timothy). He was the devoted grandfather of Alyssa, Jessie, Nicholas, Hailey, Jason, Brian, Nathan, Lucy, Aisling, Alana, and Timothy. He was the brother of Thomas Wardle (Patrice) of Richboro, and Sandra Guld (Frank) of Trevose. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 17, 2015, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Assumption BVM. Church,1900 Meadowbrook Road (at Bristol Road), Feasterville, PA 19053. His Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.
