Ronald “Ron” Kevin Galloway, age 77, passed away on January 17, 2026, at his home in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Evelyn Galloway and brother William Galloway. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Galloway; children, Tracy Hrouda (Jim) and Cindy Galloway; grandchildren, Kaitlyn “Katie”, Madelyn, Kaine, Ardyn, and Penn; brothers Jack Galloway (Debbie) and Michael Galloway; and sister William Evelyn.
Ron proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam war, a period that deeply shaped his character, discipline, and sense of camaraderie. After completing his military service, Ron returned home and dedicated himself to his new craft – carpentry. His transition from Marine to carpenter reflected who he was at his core; resilient, hardworking, and committed to helping everyone he loved.
One of Ron’s favorite pastimes in life was golf. Whether he was out on the course or watching a tournament on television, the game brought him lots of enjoyment. Over the years, he developed an appreciation not just for the sport itself, but for the moments it created – tee times with friends and family, and afternoons spent watching tournaments and analyzing every shot. For Ron, golf was more than a hobby; it was a source of connection, relaxation, and pleasure throughout his life.
Ron cherished his 51 years of marriage spent with his wife Lorraine. They built a home full of laughter, love, and shared memories, weathering anything life threw at them. Together, they raised two beautiful girls and shared their home with many beloved dogs over the years. Ron and Lorraine shared a love for traveling, especially cruising, spending lots of time in the casino. They have spent countless hours sharing laughs, watching Jeopardy, and eating at their favorite restaurants. These hours became part of their routine, a reflection of the comfort and closeness they found in each other’s company.
Ron found immense joy in being a grandfather, and he took pride in watching each one of them grow into who they are today. He has celebrated each accomplishment, big or small. Ron was proud of Katie for becoming a Doctor, calling her “Doc” well before she earned her degree; proud of Madelyn for consistently pushing herself and having continuous motivation to grow in all aspects of life; proud of Kaine, Ardyn, and Penn for making it through even the most difficult moments and coming out on the other end.
These words do not even begin to encapsulate or describe who Ron was. Ron was a kind, helpful, and loving husband, dad, and poppop, who will be deeply mourned and greatly missed.
