Victoria Anne Peloso

Victoria Anne Peloso died on Thursday October 6, 2011 at the Oakwood Nursing Home in Philadelphia. Born in Nanticoke, PA, she has been a Philadelphia resident for 58 years. Victoria was the daughter of the late Frank and Ada Malitzski Oliver.

Mrs. Peloso was a Registered Nurse. She had been a longtime employee of the Philadelphia Corrections Department. She had also worked at Ashton Hall and Mayo Nursing Homes as well as being a private duty nurse.

Victoria was a Communicant of St. Martha’s Parish in Philadelphia. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Victoria loved her cats and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was an avid Phillies and football fan.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph C Peloso for 62 years. She was the devoted mother of Rebecca Jo (Roger) Dawson of Furlong, PA, Aida B. (John) Bridges of Feasterville, Victoria Anne (John) Gorbe of Philadelphia, and the late Joseph C. Peloso, Jr. She was the grandmother Joseph C Peloso, III, Alyson June Leinbach, Julie Welsh, Gena Tayman, John J. Bridges, Jr., Michael Bridges, David C Peloso, Alexis Gorbe, and the late Sean McWilliams; great grandmother of Joseph C. Peloso, IV, Prestin Leinbach, Samanthia Welsh, Kendelyn Welsh, Marlyse Leinbach, and Alana Bridges.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday 9 AM at St. Martha’s Church, 11301 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM. He interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia
