Adam C. Poteet, 37 of Huntington passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at his residence. Adam was a 2000 graduate of Huntington North High School. He later graduated from Lincoln Tech with a degree in Automotive Repair, and subsequently served in the United States Army. He most recently worked at LKQ Inc. in Huntington. Adam was an avid Ohio State Fan. He loved sports, cars, golfing and fishing.
Adam was born on September 13, 1982 in Huntington, the son of James and Marcia (Stanley) Poteet.
Survivors include his father: James Poteet of Huntington; his mother Marcia Stanley; a daughter: Madelynn N. Poteet; two sisters: Erin Duncan of Fishers and Tiffany Phillippe of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother: Brenda Poteet.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm following the gathering of family and friends at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Wally Morris officiating.
Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Andrews at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made out to James Poteet for Madelynn’s Future Fund in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
