

Charles E. Covey, 63 of Huntington passed away at 2:38 am on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Charles worked at Kunkle Foundry for many years. He was a member of the First Brethren Church. He enjoyed old fashioned cars and learning about the old historic buildings and history of Huntington. Charles was a huge Johnny Cash fan, and a lifelong Huntington County resident.
Charles was born on December 18, 1950 in Huntington County, the son of Thomas and Bertha (Wilson) Covey.
He was united in marriage to Pamelia Emley on February 28, 1970 in Huntington. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2013.
Survivors include a daughter: Carol Dugan of Indianapolis; a son: Chris (Erin) Covey of Huntington; a sister: Faye Hall of Huntington and three grandchildren: Gavin and Benjamin Covey of Huntington and Suzi Schmitt of Fort Wayne and 2 grandpuppies Jack Dugan and Mattie Dugan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, three sisters and a son: Jason Covey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 4:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Diana Teusch officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington at a later date.
