Jason Allen Nicely

Jason A. Nicely, 32 of Roanoke passed away at 12:28 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at his home. He was a 1998 graduate of Blackford High School. Jason worked at the GM Truck Assembly Plant in Fort Wayne. He enjoyed spending his spare time fishing and watching stock car races at Baer Field Raceway. He was an avid reader and he was a loving uncle to his nephew, Brooks.

He was born on October 29, 1978 in Muncie, Indiana, a son of Jerry L. and Tenna (Newby) Nicely, Sr.

Survivors include his parents: Jerry and Tenna Nicely, Sr. of Roanoke; a brother: Jerry Lee Nicely, Jr. of Huntington and a nephew: Brooks Nicely of Huntington.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Mike Konkle officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.
