Jermaine R. "Jerry" Cole

Jermaine R. “Jerry” Cole, 73 of Fort Wayne passed away on October 20, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. She loved being a mother and grandmother, the proudest moments of her life. She attended Eastfield and Richland Community Colleges. Jerry was an avid Beatles fan. She loved the color purple and enjoyed photography, tennis and running. She was a member of the Oprah Club.

Jerry was born on October 9, 1948 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of the late Fletcher D. and Elsie “Fern” (Kennett) Thomas.

She was united in marriage to Dan Cole on June 6, 1980 in Kaufman, Texas. Dan survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter: Danielle (Eric) Geders of Fort Wayne; four sisters: Janelle (Endre) Mills of Fort Worth, TX, Judy (Patrick) Churchman of Lagrange, KY, Cleva (Michael) McMullen of Rowlette, TX, Clana (Brett) Cornelius of Combine, TX; a brother: Fletcher (Linda) Thomas, Jr. of Texas; two grandchildren: Cole Geders and Oliver Geders both of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Jacqueline Thomas and a brother: Tommy Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service following visitation at 2:00 pm.

Interment will be at the St. Peter’s First Cemetery in Huntington.
