Joan M. Hosler Grable

Joan M. Grable, 79 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Huntington, went into the arms of Jesus at 4:03 am on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Leo. Joan was a 1953 graduate of Lancaster High School. She attended Ivy Tech Community College and she attended The Chapel in Fort Wayne. She was employed by Supermarket Service Corporation in Fort Wayne for 20 years.

Joan was born on November 12, 1935 in Huntington County, a daughter of Wilbur and Mary (Drabenstot) Hosler.

She was united in marriage to E. Dean Grable on January 9, 1955 in Huntington County. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters: Deanne M. (Dr. Ronald) Baker of Fort Wayne; Denise M. (Dave) Beers of Columbia City; a sister: Lois (Harold) Bowman of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren: Daryn Baker, Derrick (Christina) Baker, Danielle Beers, Megan Beers and a great granddaughter: Ava Baker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Carol J. Snyder.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:30 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Johnny McCallister officiating.

Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery.
