Marjorie E. Dolby Karst

Marjorie Eloise (Dolby) Karst, 78 of Indianapolis and formerly of Huntington passed away at 1:25 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at her residence. She attended Huntington High School and worked at Bob’s IGA and other various jobs.

She was born on March 20, 1935 in Huntington, a daughter of Ralph E. and Opal B. (Obenour) Dolby.

She was united in marriage to John F. Karst on July 17, 1965 in Columbia City. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter: Tina Marie Strayer of Indianapolis; a son: John F. (Heather) Karst II of Roanoke; two brothers: Pauldene (Rusty) Dolby of Markle; Dennis (Ruth) Dolby of Warsaw; a sister-in-law: Macinea (Bogdan) Dolby of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph E. and Opal B. Dolby; a brother: James Eldon Dolby; and two children: Amy Lynn (Bragg) Weidler and Edward Charles Bragg.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 12:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Kati and John Schmucker officiating.

Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Huntington County.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made out to Community Home Health, 9894 East 121st Street, Fishers, IN 46037.
