Mark E. Zahm

Mark Eugene Zahm, 70 of Huntington passed away on Thursday March 21, 2024 at his residence. Mark was a 1972 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. Throughout his life Mark worked many places including Huntington Lab, Geiger Excavating, heavy machinery for Richard Ness, and Zahm Excavating. Mark was the owner and operator of Zahm Greenhouses for over 35 years. Mark was a collector of Hess Trucks and he enjoyed fishing, flea markets, farmers markets, drag races, fast cars, and ice cream. Mark was born with the gift of gab and could always tell a great story. Per the families request, rather than expressing sympathies and condolences please come and share a story or memory about Mark. He will be greatly missed. Mark was born on October 26,1953, the son of the late Paul and Lorene (Martin) Zahm Jr. He was united in marriage to Janine Gibson on April 14, 1973 in Huntington. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2006. Survivors include two daughters: Christine Zahm of Andrews and Mindy Zahm of Andrews; a son: Jordan Zahm of Huntington; two brothers: William "Bill" (Laurie) Zahm of Huntington, and Jim (Cathy) Zahm of Huntington; three sisters: Susan Marlow, Janet Gordon, and Jane (Mike) Myers all of Huntington and a granddaughter Aleaha Zahm. Mark was preceded in death by his wife Janine, and his parents. Visitation will take place on Tuesday March 26, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Located at 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington IN 46750. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to the Mass at S.S. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church located at 860 Cherry Street Huntington IN 46750 Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Andrews Memorial donations can be made out to Aleaha's Law School College Fund.
