Michelle Stockman, 81, of Markle, passed away on Thursday evening, September 4, 2025 at her home. She was a 1962 graduate of Rock Creek Township High School. Michelle retired as an office manager from the Warren Dental Office after over 20 years. She enjoyed making blankets for the Hope House at Lutheran Hospital. Michelle was an avid gardener and enjoyed knitting, sewing, crochet and cross stitch. She was an active member of Plum Tree United Church of Christ prior to the church closing. Michelle volunteered for McKinzie's Hope Child Advocacy programs. She loved spending weekends at the lake with her family.
Michelle was born on June 2, 1944 in Huntington, a daughter of late Meredith H. and Doris L. (Sparks) McFadden.
She was united in marriage to James "Jim" Stockman on September 5, 1964 in Plum Tree, and they were happily married for over 40 years before Jim preceded her in death on October 2, 2004.
Survivors include two sons: Michael (Jia) Stockman of Fort Wayne, Brian (Daniel Fulmer) Stockman of Indianapolis; a sister: Jane Park of Warren; two grandchildren: Lucie Stockman of Indianapolis, Marcus Stockman of Fort Wayne and two nephews: Steve (Kim) Park of Markle, Kevin (Linda) Park of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
There will be no public services at this time.
A private family burial will be held at Markle Cemetery.
